Closing Costs

Expenses over and above the purchase price of the property in a real estate transaction.  These costs can vary, but are typically 1.5 – 3% of the purchase price.  Costs may include loan origination fees, discount points, appraisal fees, title searches, title insurance, surveys, taxes, deed-recording fees and credit report charges.  These fees will be listed on the Closing Disclosure (CD), which is sent to the buyer no less than 3 days prior to closing.
